Ammonomicon Entry
Plot A Course
Circumnavigates the room, then explodes. Many years ago, Gungeon mariners used wind to propel their bullets instead of combustion. The trips would take so long to cross a room that the bullets would sometimes mutiny and change course entirely.

Corsair is a gun that appears in Enter the Gungeon.

Effects

  • Fires slow moving bullets that accelerate and bounce around the room.
  • These bullets have a slight homing effect, curving towards enemies.
  • Upon reaching the end of their lifespan, these bullets explode- creating a large red X at the position of the explosion.

Synergies ETG

  • Synergy.png Black Flag - If the player also has Grappling Hook or Serious Cannon, each Corsair shot will periodically fire two bouncing cannonballs perpendicular to itself as it travels.
  • Synergy.png Swift Sloop - If the player also has Sense of Direction, increases Corsair's shot speed by 50%, decreases its charge time by 33%, and decreases its reload time by 20%.
  • Synergy.png Three Sheets - If the player also has Balloon Gun, movement speed is increased, the damage of both guns is doubled, and their bullets travel 20% faster.
  • Synergy.png Unsinkable - If the player has Glacier, Corsair fires exploding Titanic ships.

Item Interactions

  • IBomb Companion App.png iBomb Companion App - As the projectiles of the Corsair are explosive, using the iBomb Companion App will prematurely detonate them wherever they are in the room.

Notes

  • Prior to the Supply Drop Update, the bullets did not curve.
  • Corsair's bullets cannot be caught by Gunjurers.
  • "Corsair" is a common name for a pirate or a privateer operating on the high seas, especially ones operating along the southern coast of the Mediterranean in the 16th–18th centuries who were often slavers.
  • Bug.png Bug Corsair bullets can travel through locked cells, potentially damaging chests on the other side.
  • The entry for the Corsair in the Physical Ammonomicon has a small doodle of a sailboat with a small figure (possibly a Bullet Kin) in its crow's nest.
