Unfinished Gun is a gun that appears in Enter the Gungeon. It fires piercing projectiles.

Upon unlocking every item and gun in the Ammonomicon (except Number 2.png Number 2 and High Dragunfire.png High Dragunfire), Unfinished Gun is permanently upgraded into the Finished Gun.png Finished Gun.

Synergies ETG

  • Synergy.png Phoenix Up - If the player has Phoenix, while Phoenix is held, summons a phoenix companion that fires at enemies.

Notes

  • Despite not actually igniting enemies, the Unfinished Gun is in the FIRE gun class.
    • As a consequence, having the Unfinished Gun in the player's inventory makes them less likely to find other guns in the FIRE class that actually burn enemies.
  • The Blacksmith can be seen working on an Unfinished Gun.
  • Certain elements of the Finished Guns design can be seen in the Unfinished Gun, such as the hourglass on its cylinder,
  • During the development of Enter the Gungeon, many guns were prototyped as unobtainable weapons prior to updates that actually added them (for example, the Devolver.png Devolver). Many of these prototype versions of guns used the Ammonomicon icon and/or description of the Unfinished Gun as placeholder. This suggests that the Unfinished Gun may have been used as a template.
  • Bug.png Bug After unlocking Finished Gun, Unfinished Gun can still be obtained as one of the Paradox's starting guns, as a reward from The Lost Adventurer, as a reward from the Gunsling King and Manservantes, in a synergy chess from Synergrace, during a Blessed Run, a boss reward, or as one of the guns given when taking a Shortcut.
