Deadeye
More experienced than their standard Bullet Kin brethren, Veterans have a better understanding of gunplay.

These crafty gunslingers will predict the movements of their targets, aiming where they are going to be, rather than where they are.

Veteran Bullet Kin are a Bullet Kin variant which appear in Enter the Gungeon.

Behaviour

Veterans behave similarly to regular Bullet Kin, advancing slowly towards the player and firing bullets one at a time. The most noticeable factor of Veteran Bullet Kin is their predictive aim, as they will attempt to shoot in advance of the players movements.

They have a higher firerate and shot speed than their non-veteran counterparts, shooting four projectiles in quick succession each time they attack. If the player breaks line of sight with the Veteran Bullet Kin in the middle of this attack sequence, the Veteran will hold fire until line of sight is re-established in order to finish the volley.

Other Appearances

  • Veteran Bullet Kin appear on the cover and extras section of the Enter the Gungeon Digital Comic, interspersed among regular Bullet Kin.

Notes

  • Veteran Bullet Kin hold the Magnum.
  • The Shotgun Kin variant of the Veteran Bullet Kin is the Veteran Shotgun Kin.
  • Certain Bullet Kin placements have a small chance to be replaced by Veteran Bullet Kin at random.
  • The sprite collection of the Veteran Bullet Kin is red in colour, with the unique colour palette of the enemy being applied via a colour shader. A similar technique is used by Red Shotgun Kin and Blue Shotgun Kin to allow them to share a single sprite sheet while having a different colour palette. However, this is unnecessary for the Veteran Bullet Kin, as it has no colour variants.
    • This results in the hand sprite of the Veteran Bullet Kin being a different colour to the rest of its body.
