Speedrun Mode

Speedrun Mode can be activated by going to the Options tab in the menu screen, GAMEPLAY, then checking the box adjacent to it. Enabling it places a timer in the top-left corner of the screen under shells and keys. The option has no real effect on gameplay, and the timer only starts when you move/shoot.

Notes

• When entering a new floor, the timer will pause until you move/shoot again.
• The timer while not shown, is still active in the Aimless Void.
• It's also still active during boss splash screens and death scenes.

The following actions do not start the timer:

• Switching weapons.
• Picking up/dropping items or guns.
• Taking damage.
• Using a blank.
• Using active items.
• Using a teleporter.
• Accessing any menus.
• Accessing the Ammonomicon.
• Doing anything as The Cultist.
