Gungeoneers

Gungeoneers are the characters who explore the Gungeon. Choose between one of several unlikely heroes, each burdened by a deep regret and in search of a way to change their regrettable past, no matter the cost. Filled with equal parts courage and desperation, these adventurers won't hesitate to do what it takes to succeed.

Each Gungeoneer, excluding the Paradox and the Gunslinger, has an alternate costume, unlocked by killing their Past. Alternate costumes are located next to the starting character. Killing their Past with the alternate costume equipped unlocks an alternate starting weapon skin. Starting weapon skins can be activated by interacting with a shrine located near The Bullet in the Breach.

Trivia

• By getting all four pieces of the Gunknight armor, the player can transform into Cormorant.
• By getting Elimentaler, Partially-Eaten Cheese, Resourceful Sack, and Rat Boots, the player can turn into the Resourceful Rat, and he will no longer steal items from them while this is in effect.
• By getting Clown Mask you transform into Dallas from Payday, and gain a random Payday familiar.

In Exit the Gungeon, in addition to having unique starting items, each Gungeoneer takes a different route and encounters different elevators.
