Feel The Burn
Molotov cocktails aren't guns, and so they are frowned upon by long-dwelling Gungeoneers. They get the job done regardless. Knowing the Hegemony wouldn't let her bring her own weaponry to the Gungeon, the Convict smuggled these few bottles in with the transport's cargo.

Molotov is an active item in Enter the Gungeon, and a powerup in Exit the Gungeon. The Convict starts with this item in Enter the Gungeon.

Effects

  • ETG Upon use, throws a Molotov that shatters upon hitting the ground, unleashing a large pool of fire goop that sets enemies on fire and does continuous damage.
  • XTG When collected, all enemies on screen are set on fire.

Unused and Cut Content

  • UnusedSynergy.png Unused: Open Bar - If the player has Molotov Launcher, using the Molotov restores 5 ammo to the player's currently held gun. Removed because it contains a starting item.

Notes

  • The Molotov does not function in the Gorguns boss room, as instead of shattering upon hitting the water, it will sink harmlessly below the surface.
  • As the Molotov deals exclusively fire damage, it is useless against enemies that are immune to fire such as Muzzle Wisps or the Bullet King.
  • Fire goop will reveal secret rooms, not by cracking the wall, but because the goop is visible in the hallway behind the fake wall.
  • FixedBug.png Fixed Bug In the release version of Enter the Gungeon, the Molotov could extinguish the Fireplace in the Keep of the Lead Lord.
