C4 can be placed and then triggered remotely.
More useful than a standard time bomb, but less convenient than a proximity mine, plastic explosives can be manually triggered.

RemoteMineItem
C4 is an active item in Enter the Gungeon.
Effects
- Places explosives on the ground which then can be detonated by using the item again, dealing 60 damage to nearby enemies. Unlike
Bomb, does not open secret rooms.
Item Interactions
Blank Companion's Ring /
Ring of Triggers - These items only trigger their effects on the initial use of C4, which places down the explosive. The follow-up use of the item to detonate the bomb does not cause them to trigger.
Notes
- The C4 in game is based on the real-life plastic explosive. C4 is often known for its moldable clay-like quality; however, this doesn't appear in-game.
- After placing down the C4 charge, the items appearance in the players UI will change to a transmitter switch until the mine is detonated.
- Dropping C4 after placing down a mine, but before triggering it will automatically detonate the charge, reverting the item back to its regular appearance.
