Ammonomicon Entry
Ruined Summer
A shield brought by either Blockner or Ser Manuel to the Gungeon.

At the start of one summer Manuel lost it in a place too high for the young men to reach with an overzealous throw. They remained enemies for life.

The Flying Disc is a weapon in Exit the Gungeon.

Notes

  • It throws like a straight boomerang, pierces enemies, bounces off of walls
  • The Flying Disc is one of the few weapons in Exit the Gungeon that does not appear in its predecessor, Enter the Gungeon.

Trivia

  • The weapon's attack pattern is a reference to Captain America's shield and subsequently, the Frisbee.
    • The description of the weapon describes a common problem with actual flying discs, as they often can get stuck in high places and due to their flat nature, cannot roll down. The common strategy of retrieval would be to throw something at it, usually a ball, but as the description writes, they were unable to reach it.
  • The disc shares a sprite with the Shield of the Maiden from Enter the Gungeon.
    • As a result, it is also a reference to Eitr.
