Boundless Slaughter | |
Favored by the huge predatory bird that nests in the Gungeon, it is a weapon to be feared. |
The Vulcan Cannon is a gun in Enter the Gungeon and Exit the Gungeon.
In the Apple Arcade version of Exit the Gungeon, the Vulcan Cannon is called the Gull Cannon.
Strategy
The Vulcan Cannon can be exceedingly powerful thanks to its high rate of fire and large clip size. Despite its low damage per individual bullet, its rate of fire renders its damage per second very high.
It is most effective and ammo-efficient when the Gungeoneer is near the target (ideally a boss or high threat enemy) to offset its large spread.
SynergiesETG
- Heavy Artillery - If the player also has Com4nd0, both weapons are dual-wielded.
- Not Quite As Mini - If the player has Ammo Belt, Drum Clip, or Oiled Cylinder, the Vulcan Cannon changes its appearance, its maximum ammo is increased by 100, and its fire rate gradually increases as long as the trigger is held.
- The Return - If the player has Pig, it will turn green and shoot fire bats.
- Vulcan Raving - If the player has Wax Wings, Vulcan Cannon's knockback is increased by 50%.
- Secret Twin - If the player also has Ticket, holding Vulcan Cannon and using Ticket will spawn two friendly Gatling Gulls instead of one.
Notes
- According to its ammonomicon entry, the Vulcan Cannon is wielded by the Gatling Gull, however its visual appearance is starkly different to the minigun the Gatling Gull can be seen holding in battle.
- The gun is a reference to a common trope of action films where people will carry handheld M134 Miniguns, which in reality is very difficult and impractical.
- The Not Quite As Mini synergy is a reference to the Minigun from Team Fortress 2 in appereance and function and subsequently reaffirms this.
- This gun's name references the M61A1 Vulcan, a Gatling-style rotary cannon.
- The Vulcan Raving synergy is a play on words on the name of Vulcan Raven, a character from Metal Gear Solid who wielded said weapon.
- The Secret Twin synergy references Liquid Snake, Solid Snake's genetic clone and twin.
- The Vulcan Cannon one of the few guns in Exit the Gungeon with a resprite.[see gallery]
