Temporarily doubles gun output.
The favored brew of Two-Shot Erias. During her time in the Gungeon, she claimed that drinking before a gunfight would double her effectiveness in combat, but for obvious reasons was not taken too seriously. Perhaps there was some truth in her tales. |
Double Vision is an active item that appears in Enter the Gungeon.
Effects
- While active, doubles the player's fired bullets, reducing accuracy in the process.
Synergies ETG
Dwarven Stout - If the player also has Stout Bullets, Double Vision will triple shots fired instead of double.
Five O'Clock Somewhere - If the player also has Crestfaller, reloading will fire a glass bottle that has a chance to stun enemies hit. Reloading Crestfaller while standing on a liquid replenishes the ammo missing in the current magazine, similar to Gungine.
Special Reserve - If the player also has the Molotov Launcher, Molotovs create green pools of fire, which do not harm the player and permanently light enemies on fire.
Item Interactions
Prize Pistol - While active, Double Vision doubles the number of shots fired by the Prize Pistol, but reduces its accuracy. This can allow two targets to be hit in winchesters game while using only 1 ammunition, but also makes actually hitting targets more difficult.
Backup Gun - While active, the player will shoot three bullets forward and only one bullet backwards.
Cut Content
- In Pre-Alpha versions of Enter the Gungeon, Double Vision had a different, cruder sprite.[1]
Notes
- If you have multiple active items, switching off Double Vision while active will end the effect prematurely.
- The two bullets fired can be desynced by using the item while the current gun is in-between shots. This is easiest to achieve with slow firing weapons like Sniper Rifle or A.W.P..
- This item and its Ammonomicon quote are a reference to a scene in the 1993 film Tombstone. In the scene, the dramatization of Doc Holliday is accused of being too drunk to fight, with his opponent saying he must be seeing double. In response, Holliday pulls out a second gun and replies "I have two guns, One for each of you".
- The synergy
Dwarven Stout may be a reference to the alcoholic beverage of the same name in the video game RuneScape.
- The synergy
Five O'Clock Somewhere references the Jimmy Buffet song of the same name.
