Freeze Ray is a gun that appears in Enter the Gungeon. It fires a continuous blue laser that freezes enemies.
Synergies
Ice Cap - If the player also has Camera or Flash Ray, Freeze Ray freezes enemies much more quickly, and the weapon's appearance also changes.- Willing To Sacrifice - If the player also has Ice Cube, Heart of Ice, or Frost Bullets, Freeze Ray gains piercing and slowly regenerates ammo over time.
Cut Content
- In pre-release versions of Enter the Gungeon, the Freeze Ray had a different appearance, and only 100 maximum ammo.[1]
Notes
- Has a similar look and basic abilities as the weapon used by Mr. Freeze in various "Batman" media.
- This gun's flavor text is a reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger's campy performance as Mr. Freeze from the movie Batman & Robin.
- The synergy "Willing to Sacrifice" is a reference to the 1977 song Cold As Ice by Foreigner.
