Springheel Boots is a passive item in Enter the Gungeon.
Effects
- Allows the player to dodge roll again mid-roll, interrupting their initial roll and allowing them to quickly change directions.
Synergies ETG
Double Down - If the player also has Gunboots, its cooldown is removed and every roll will fire bullets.
Firing With Flair - If the player also has Flare Gun, it will set green fire that leaves enemies permanently burning.
Triple Jump - If the player also has Ballistic Boots, the player gains an extra dodge and can perform three dodges in succession.
Item Interactions
Bloodied Scarf - Overrides Springheel Boots.
Notes
- This item is a reference to Spring-heeled Jack, an English urban legend from the Victorian era.
- Its Ammonomicon entry is a reference to the Boots of Springheel Jak from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which are used to survive a long fall as part of The Ultimate Heist quest.
- This item was originally suggested by a now-deleted account in a suggestion Reddit thread. This suggestion, calling the item "Pegasus Boots",[1] was reacted to positively by Dodge Roll programmer Brent Sodman.[2]
