Ice Breaker is a gun that appears in Enter the Gungeon and Exit the Gungeon.

Effects

• The first two shots of each magazine fire a shotgun blast of freezing ice bullets.
• The final shot of each magazine fires a single large, metal slug that can pierce up to 5 times.
  • This slug will also pass through breakables without being stopped.

Synergies ^ETG

• Gunderlord - If the player also has Patriot, Ice Breaker fires single high-velocity shots and slowly regenerates ammo over time. Patriot shots become connected with electricity.
• Ice Accumulation - If the player has Snowballets, Ice Breaker's shot size is greatly increased, and the amount of damage it gains from Snowballets is increased.
• It's Your Destiny - If the player has The Exotic, Ice Breaker fires single high-velocity shots and slowly regenerates ammo over time. The Exotic's rockets split into 14 smaller rockets instead of 7.
• Despite firing like a shotgun, the Ice Breaker is not in the SHOTGUN gun class, and as such does not benefit from the Shotgun Affinity synergy.

Item Interactions

• Drum Clip - Increasing the magazine size of this weapon will only add additional ice shots. Only the final shot in the clip is the slug.

Other Appearances

• The song ENTER THE GUNGEON on the Enter the Gungeon soundtrack references the Ice Breaker by name in a list of guns.

Notes

• Because the ice shots of the Ice Breaker use the Ice damage type, they deal 1.5x damage to Muzzle Wisps and Muzzle Flares, and do not ignite Coalers. Additionally, these bullets will freeze any water they pass over.
• Despite the Ammonomicon entry suggesting otherwise, the metal slugs fired by this gun do not deal any more damage to frozen enemies.
• Prior to the Supply Drop Update, Ice Breaker had 100 maximum ammo.
• This gun is a reference to the Ice Breaker sniper rifle from Destiny.
  • The synergy form taken by the Gunderlord and It's Your Destiny synergies alter the gun to more closely match its Destiny counterpart.
  • The Gunderlord synergy is also a reference to another Destiny weapon, the Thunderlord.
• The Ammonomicon quote "Never Let Go" is a reference to an iconic quote in the ending scenes of the film Titanic.
• The entry for the Ice Breaker in the Physical Ammonomicon has a small doodle of a bearded man. While the identity of this man is unknown, it may be intended to represent Edwin, the Ice Breaker's creator.
