The Detective
The Detective, also known as Lamey is a Gungeoneer exclusive to Enter the Gungeon: House of the Gundead, where she serves as one of two playable characters alongside Super Space Turtle. Due to the arcade nature of House of the Gundead, The Detective does not play any differently to Super Space Turtle, and has no unlocks or character specific content.
Story
The Detective is an enforcer of the law, who while in hot pursuit of her latest criminal target is interrupted by an urgent request from Commander Iron. Once briefed of the Presidents kidnapping, she is dispatched to the Gungeon with her new partner, a small turtle who has escaped the Gungeon once before.
Cut Content
The Detective has existed as an unused Gungeoneer in Enter the Gungeon since the Advanced Gungeons & Draguns Update, where she was added alongside the Gunslinger, with no way to access either of them. While the Gunslinger was later made playable in the Farewell To Arms Update, The Detective remains unused, similar to the Cosmonaut or Ninja. This unused version of the Detective is called Lamey internally, this being the origin of the other common name the Detective is known by in the community.
Lamey is unfinished, with an unusual loadout. She re-uses the face-card and nickname list of the Pilot, and starts with the 
Lamey Gun, 
Blood Brooch, and 
Lichy Trigger Finger. Aside from the gun, these items are likely placeholder, as the unused version of the Gunslinger added in the same update also started with the same two passive items.
Notes
- The Detective has a handful of design changes between her unused appearance as Lamey in Enter the Gungeon and her first canon appearance in House of the Gundead. Her hair is noticeably a darker shade of teal than the bright neon green of the unused version. Additionally the unused version has glowing symbols flickering through her hair which are absent from the HoTG design.
- Her ETG appearance also wears lipstick absent from the HoTG design.

Bug Attempting to enter Boss Rush as Lamey locks up the game, preventing movement inputs until the game is restarted.
