Lightning In A Bullet
One of the first energy weapons created in the Gungeon. When lightning struck an old gunsmith's gun-rack, he decided to sand it down into a gun. The result is crude, as far as energy weapons go, but effective.

Effects
- Quickly fires small balls of electricity.
- ETG Any pools of water that these balls pass over will be electrified, dealing considerable damage to enemies.
- This gun does not grant electricity immunity. As such, electrified pools of water also pose considerable danger to the player.
- ETG Creates a blue aura with a 5 tile radius around the player while reloading. Enemies within this aura take 5 damage per second.
- The amount of damage dealt by this aura is not affected by the player's damage stat.
Synergies ETG
Alistair's Ladder - If the player has Shock Rounds, Thunderclap fires two parallel balls of lightning with every shot, linking the bullets together in a ladder pattern.
- If the synergy is obtained through Lich's Eye Bullets, the Shock Rounds effect will not be applied.
In The Mood! - If the player has BSG or Strafe Gun, shot speed is increased by 25% and the player's movement speed is slightly increased.

Cormorant - Items and synergies that reduce reload time drastically reduce the effectiveness of the Thunderclap's reload aura, as the aura deals damage over time and only lasts as long as the reload period.
Cormorant - As Cormorant makes all reloads instantaneous, it completely removes the damaging aura of the Thunderclap.
Battery Bullets - Grants electricity immunity, removing all potential risk in electrifying water pools.
Dice Shrine - The Unsteady effect of the dice shrine increases reload time by 35%, making the Thunderclap's damaging aura last longer.
Notes
Altered: Diazepam - Prior to the Advanced Gungeons & Draguns Update, this gun was included in
Diazepam.- The damaging field while reloading was added in A Farewell to Arms.
- This weapon's appearance is a reference to the Thunderbolt weapon from the video game series Quake and the Plasma Gun from Doom.
- This gun is a reference to Stephen King's series The Dark Tower.
- The
Alistair's Ladder - synergy is a reference to the electrical Jacob's ladder, a device in which electric arcs climb upward between two vertical wires.
