Reborn in Flame | |
The muzzle flare from this fiery handgun can ignite enemies.
Return enemies to dust. Famously wielded by Two-Shot Erias on her final Gungeon attempt. |
Phoenix is a gun in Enter the Gungeon
Effects
- The muzzle flare of this gun is a fiery ejection that sets enemies caught within on fire. Despite emerging from this fiery belch, the projectile itself does not ignite enemies.
Synergies ETG
Cryptic Cryptids - If the player has Fossilized Gun, Phoenix shots pierce, deal double damage, and leave trails of fire. The player is immune to fire while either Phoenix or Fossilized Gun are equipped.
Phoenix Up - If the player has Unfinished Gun, The Scrambler, Hot Lead, Copper Ammolet, Flame Hand, Weird Egg, Napalm Strike, or Gungeon Pepper, a phoenix companion that fires piercing fireballs at enemies is summoned while Phoenix is held, even while not equipped.
- The synergy is not triggered by Finished Gun, even though it replaces Unfinished Gun in the Ammonomicon.
Notes
- Phoenix's blast of fire does no direct damage, only lighting the enemy on fire.
Phoenix Up is likely a reference to the revival item Phoenix Down, from the Final Fantasy series.
- The shape of the Phoenix is similar to the
Shellegun.
Bug The phoenix companion will still fire bullets with bullet modifiers (such as Katana Bullets, Angry Bullets, etc.) even if the items that give the effects have been dropped.
Bug The phoenix companion, when combined with big damage increasing items (such as Snowballets or Silver Bullets), will on occasion shoot a bullet with extremely high damage, being able to instantly kill any enemy or boss.

Possible Bug The special UI icon for both the Phoenix and
Phoenix Up in the Chinese Mobile Version of Enter the Gungeon appear blue. This is likely due to incorrect colour encoding issues when saving the files, as the same thing can be seen in other UI textures.
