Fires a stream of toxic goop. Ammo can be reused.

The Syringe Gun was ordered for the Gungeon by the Médecins Sans Diplôme to perform complete blood transfusions all at once. When that proved dangerous, a crafty Gungeoneer filled the giant Syringe with a live Poisbulon.

Plunger is a gun in Enter the Gungeon.

Effects

The Plunger fires a constant stream of green liquid that inflicts the poison status effect on enemies after 0.5 seconds of contact with the beam. Additionally, this poison stream leaves a pool of toxic goop on the ground after hitting an enemy or wall.

Reloading the Plunger while standing on any goop, including goop that it has created, fully restores the guns ammo.

SynergiesETG

  • Synergy.png Super Serum - If the player also has Hazmat Suit or the Gas Mask, the Plunger's ammo capacity is increased by 50%, its projectiles can bounce, and the size of the projectiles increases.

Item Interactions

  • Sponge.png Sponge - Absorbs goop below the player, preventing them from accidentally poisoning themselves with the Plunger- but also preventing them from being able to use its goop ammo recovery.
  • Wax Wings.png Wax Wings, Jetpack.png Jetpack, Ring of Ethereal Form.png Ring of Ethereal Form, Cat Bullet King Throne.png Cat Bullet King Throne - Flight of any form prevents the player from using the goop ammo recovery of the Plunger, as they are unable to stand on goop.
  • Duct Tape.png Duct Tape - Duct taping other weapons to the Plunger is extremely ammo efficient, as both guns will benefit from the Plungers goop ammo recovery.

Notes

  • Prior to the Supply Drop Update, Plunger continually left poisonous goop on the floor whether or not it hit an enemy.
  • The phrase Médecins Sans Diplôme in the description is French for Doctors Without Diplomas. This is a reference to the real-life organisation Doctors Without Borders, commonly known as Médecins Sans Frontières.

Bugs

  • The diacritic marks on é and ô are not supported by Enter the Gungeons font, causing "Médecins Sans Diplôme" to display as "Mdecins Sans Diplme" when read ingame.
