Triple Gun is a gun in Enter the Gungeon.

Effects

  • Transitions between different forms based on its current ammo count.
    • When at 70% ammo on the Revolver form (175 ammo if ammo capactiy has not been modified) it will transition to Machine Gun form.
    • When at 10% ammo on the Machine Gun form (50 ammo if ammo capactiy has not been modified) it will transition to Beam Form.
    • Any ammo gain which puts the Triple Gun back over these thresholds will cause it to return to its previous form.

Item Interactions

  • Magazine Rack.png Magazine Rack - If the Triple Gun is given infinite ammo, it will remain indefinitely in the form it was in until its ammo count returns to normal. This allows the use of powerful forms like the Beam for much longer.
  • Duct Tape.png Duct Tape - If the Triple Gun is duct taped onto another weapon, it will permanently remain in the form it was in when it was taped.
    • Duct Taping a high firerate weapon to the Triple Gun allows it to expend ammo faster in the first phase, making it easier to get to the more powerful ammo thresholds. However, this also causes the Triple Gun to expend ammo faster when in its more powerful forms, making them less efficient.

Notes

  • This gun is a reference to the anime Trigun, with its first form's appearance resembling the revolver used by its main character, Vash the Stampede. Its second form is in reference to the main character's arm machine gun, and the third to his Angel Arm.
    • The line, "this gun is in actuality a very rare plant," is a reference to the Plants in Trigun, interdimensional beings whose bodies produce seemingly endless amounts of luminous yellow energy, similar to the third form's beam attack.
  • The Triple Gun was first shown in the release trailer for the Supply Drop Update, despite not being properly added until A Farewell to Arms.
  • Bug.png Bug If the Triple Gun is in beam form, and it regains ammo over the 10% threshold while firing its beam, it will revert into its previous forms but will continue to fire its beam so long as the fire button is pressed. This can happen multiple times if the Triple Gun continues to cross over the beam form ammo threshold, stacking multiple beams.
  • Bug.png Bug The beam form of the Triple Gun can struggle to damage the heart of the High Dragun in its second phase, possibly due to its large footprint.
