Regimented!
Tanker Bullet Kin are highly-disciplined hard-casings.

Aggressive and durable soldiers assigned to armored columns.

Tankers are Bullet Kin variants which appear in Enter the Gungeon.

Behaviour

Tankers behave like regular Bullet Kin, but with a higher rate of fire and additional health. The additional firerate of the Tanker is slightly less than that of the Bandana Bullet Kin, however they attack for a similar length of time.

While not a behaviour of the Tankers themselves, Tankers are periodically spawned by the Treadnaught during its boss fight.

Notes

  • Tankers wield the AK-47.
  • A Tanker can be seen driving the Treadnaught boss in its splash screen art, boss introduction, and periodically throughout the battle, where it will pop up from the Treadnaughts main hatch to shoot a machine gun at the player.
    • The sprites for the Tanker in the hatch of the Treadnaught are called Tank Man.
    • The machine gun held by the Tank Man appears to be an unused form of the M16.
  • The expression of the Tanker in its Ammonomicon profile resembles the dialogue portrait of The Bullet.
  • The Ammonomicon portrait of the Tanker shows its helmet with a dark brown strap, however the strap is actually black on Tankers encountered in-game with the exception of the Tank Man.
  • The use of the phrase 'hard-casings' in the Tankers Ammonomicon description is a pun on the phrase 'hard case', which may variously be used to describe a tough or eccentric individual.
  • Tankers spawned by the Treadnaught are internally considered a different type of enemy to Tankers spawned as part of normal room to room combat, as they have different internal GUIDs. A mechanical difference between 'regular' Tankers and those spawned by the Treadnaught has yet to be found.
  • Because Tankers are spawned by the Treadnaught, they are one of the few non-boss enemies which may be encountered in Boss Rush.

Exit the Gungeon

Tankers do not appear as enemies in Exit the Gungeon, however a single Tanker does make a cameo appearance in the Black Powder Mine elevator on The Bullets Route. This elevator resembles the Treadnaught, and periodically a hatch on the turret of the tank will open, allowing a Tanker to peek out before quickly retaking cover.

The Impervious hat is based on the Tanker.
