A Bat Grenade
Grenats explode on impact.

Their discarded pins are a valuable component in Gunjuration.

Grenats are Bullat variant enemies that appear in Enter the Gungeon.

Behaviour

Grenats behave much like Bullats, flying idly around the room, generally converging towards the player. When close enough, they will launch themselves towards the player in the form of a single fat projectile, dying in the process. This projectile explodes upon impact with an obstacle. Their flight allows them to mill about over pits and perform their attacks from far, unreachable areas.

If killed prematurely, Grenats will explode without launching themselves.

Notes

  • Grenats will only drop Money.png if the player kills them before they can attack.
  • Grenat is a portmanteau of the words Grenade and Bat.
  • Grenats are one of the enemies that can be immediately detonated by the iBomb Companion App.
  • When encountered in the Keep of the Lead Lord, Grenats can be immediately killed with a single dodge roll.
  • Grenats can be immediately killed with the damage from a Blank in all chambers.
  • The Ammonomicon quote A Bat Grenade may be in reference to the variety of bat themed gadgets and weapons used by DC Comics hero Batman, which have included grenades.
  • If the challenge modifier Final Attack is active, Grenats will release a ring of regular bullets when they launch themselves, in addition to their regular attack.
    • FixedBug.png Fixed Bug Prior to version V1.1.3, if Final Attack was active, the bullet ring spawned upon the death of Grenats would be entirely composed of more Grenat projectiles, which would all explode.
