A Bat Ghost
The ghosts of Bullats who died valiantly, returned from beyond the Curtain.

Hollow Bullats are able to reposition themselves before impact, giving them the appearance of attacking in numbers.

Spirat are Bullat variant enemies that appear in Enter the Gungeon.

Behaviour

Spirats behave much like Bullats, flying idly around the room, generally converging towards the player. When close enough, they will launch themselves towards the player in the form of a single bullet, dying in the process. If this projectile misses the player, it will teleport before missing a wall to another position in the room, reoriented towards the player for another attempt. The Spirat projectile can do this up to two times.

Despite this behaviour, the teleportation of a Spirats bullet is not infallible, and it may accidentally collide with a wall or obstacle, cutting its attack short.

The Spirats capacity for flight allows them to mill about over pits and perform their attacks from far, unreachable areas.

Notes

  • Spirats will only drop Money.png if the player kills them before they can attack.
  • The name Spirat is a portmanteau of the words Spirit and Bat, as well as being a rough homophone of the word Spirit.
  • Spirats can be immediately killed with the damage from a Blank in all chambers except the Forge and Bullet Hell.
  • If a Spirats projectile is destroyed, (such as with the swing of Blasphemy) it will not continue its attack.
  • If a Spirat is hit with Casey, it will continue attempting to target the player, but will not be able to deal damage to them. In addition, it will maintain its great increase in speed through teleports.
  • The teleporting bullet behaviour of the Spirat is similar to that of the rogue projectiles created by the Lore Gunjurer.
  • If the challenge modifier Final Attack is active, Spirats will release a ring of regular bullets when they launch themselves, in addition to their regular attack.
    • FixedBug.png Fixed Bug Prior to version V1.1.3, if Final Attack was active, the bullet ring spawned upon the death of Spirats would be entirely composed of more Spirat projectiles, matching the speed of the main attack and teleporting towards the player.
