A pair of tables in the Keep

Tables are common objects that appear in Enter the Gungeon. They are flippable cover, providing pockets of safety in the midst of intense firefights for both Gungeoneers and Gundead alike. During the flipping animation, bullets near the table will be cleared, similar to Blank.png Blanks or explosions. After flipping a table, the player will become invincible and absorb bullets for a few frames. Afterwards, the table can be pushed around, and will be destroyed after taking enough damage. Tables also absorb bullets when destroyed, in the same manner as when they are flipped. Bullet Kin and several of their subspecies will also flip tables and use them as cover themselves.

The player can also dodge roll over tables. Tables can be dodge rolled over three times before breaking. Stone tables can only be rolled over twice. If multiple tables are adjacent, the player will slide over all of them. If the dodge roll button is pressed while the player is on the table, it will break immediately.

Other 'Tables'

Objects that may be described as tables, but do not function mechanically like other flippable cover objects.

  • The round table in Bello's Shop offers a variety of pickups for sale. It cannot be flipped, but can be slid over.
  • The big_boss_desk is a large setpiece that appears in two different places in Enter the Gungeon.
    • It first appears as a setpiece in Nightclub 'Confession' during the Convict's past, covered in cash. The convict flips the desk at the beginning of the fight sequence. Unlike other tables, this flipped desk cannot be flipped or broken, despite assets for the flipped desk breaking existing in the game files.
    • It also appears in the Boffice room of the R&G Dept., with a Bullet Kin Titan Boss or Bullet Gal Titan Boss seated behind it. This version of the desk is a breakables, breaking immediately. It cannot be slid over or flipped.
