Projectile Speed is a Stat in Enter the Gungeon which controls how quickly the players bullets and beams move through the air.

The default Projectile Speed for all Gungeoneers is 1. Since Projectile Speed is a multiplier, 1 projectile speed is equal to 100%, while 0.8 projectile speed is equal to 80%.

Synergies

Rather than directly increasing the projectile speed of a specific gun, synergies which increase the projectile speed of a specific weapon actually modify the players Projectile Speed stat while the gun is held.

Notes

  • The effects of the Projectile Speed stat on beams are most noticeable on slower moving beams such as those of the Mega Douser or Plunger.
  • Because Synergies alter the player's projectile speed stat directly, they can have an effect on things other than the gun with the synergy such as Companions.
    • For example, if the player holds the Mega Douser with the Synergy.png Hydro Pump Synergy, the projectile speed of all companions will also be increased by 300%.
  • As a consequence of how projectile hitboxes are programmed, if the player has 0 Projectile Speed (Impossible in normal gameplay) their bullets will stay completely still and will be unable to collide with enemies.
  • If the player has negative Projectile Speed (Impossible in normal gameplay), their bullets will travel backwards.
