Reload Speed is a Stat in Enter the Gungeon, which controls how quickly players are able to reload their guns.
The mechanics of Reload Speed are counter-intuitive, as having a higher Reload Speed stat makes the player reload slower. All items that functionally increase the speed of the reload in the game actually decrease the Reload Speed stat.
The default Reload Speed for all Gungeoneers is 1. Because Reload Speed is a multiplier, a value of 1 means that all guns take 100% of their regular time to reload, while a value of 0.8 means that all guns take 80% of their regular time to reload, a value of 1.2 means that all guns take 120% of their regular time to reload.
Modifiers
Remember, decreases of the 'Reload Speed' stat INCREASE the player's actual functional reload swiftness ingame.
To avoid confusion, this table clarifies the actual practical effect that the stat change has on gameplay.
