| Poisbulons represent a terrifying advancement in Blobulonian warfare, leaving a toxic trail in their wake.
The Blobulonian Empire is not a signatory of the Guneva Convention, and is not bound by the traditional restrictions on chemical weapons. | |||||||||||||||
Poisbulons are poison themed Blobulon variant enemies that appear in Enter the Gungeon and Exit the Gungeon.
Behaviour
Enter the Gungeon ETG
Poisbulons move towards the player at a consistent speed, attempting to deal contact damage. While moving, they leave a trail of poison goop behind themselves.
They spawn a single Poisbuloid on death, which itself leaves two Poisbulins on death, resulting in two Poisbulins per Poisbulon.
Exit the Gungeon XTG
Poisbulons move back and forth across the elevator platform, turning around when hitting a wall or edge. They do not react to the players presence. While moving, Poisbulons leave a trail of poison goop on the platform behind them.
They spawn two Poisbulins on death.
Notes
- XTG Due to the absence of the Poisbuloid enemy in Exit the Gungeon, Poisbulons drop two Poisbulins directly.
- The "Guneva Convention" mentioned in the Poisbulons Ammonomicon entry is a reference to the real world Geneva Conventions, international humanitarian laws which govern the rules of warfare and outlaw the use of chemical weapons, which would probably include the Poisbulon.
- ETG Poisbulons are unaffected by the Final Attack challenge modifier.
- ETG The Ammonomicon description of the Plunger gun, which fires a stream of poison liquid, claims that the weapon was filled with a live Poisbulon by 'a crafty Gungeoneer'.
- ETG The Ammonomicon description of the Poison Vial active item, which is thrown and shatters to create a pool of poison goop, claims that it was taken from the storehouse of the Witches, and contains 'Essence of Poisbulon'.
- The goop within the Poison Vial also has a face, suggesting that it too may just be a live Poisbulon.
