The Blacksmith is a merchant NPC who appears in Enter the Gungeon, exclusively and consistently appearing in the Forge, where she replaces the regular Shop.

Function

The Blacksmith's special shop always has 3 random pickups and 3 random Guns or Items for sale. Items and Guns in the Blacksmiths shop are typically of a higher quality tier than those sold in Bello's shop, and can also include items not normally obtainable elsewhere such as the Old Knight's Helm and Old Knight's Shield.

In addition, delivering bullet components to the Blacksmith is necessary to build the Bullet That Can Kill The Past, a necessary item for game progression, as it is required to kill the Past. In total the player must deliver;

• Prime Primer, purchased in the Gungeon Proper shop for 110.
• Arcane Gunpowder, snatched from a daring gauntlet in the Black Powder Mine.
• Planar Lead, obtained across a mysterious chasm in the Hollow.
• Obsidian Shell Casing, torn from the skull of a great beast at the heart of the Forge.

These components can be delivered over the course of multiple runs, and each component can only be delivered once. Once all components have been turned in, the Blacksmith will forge the Bullet That Can Kill The Past. On all future runs, she will give the player the Bullet again when spoken to.
Additionally, delivering all bullet components to the Blacksmith unlocks Alpha Bullet and Omega Bullets.

Additionally, there are further items that can be delivered to the Blacksmith for more, unrelated unlocks;

• Ruby Bracelet - Once delivered, permanently upgrades the Bracelet to grant highly damaging charged Dodge Rolls and contact damage immunity.
• Busted Television - Can be obtained in the Elevator Maintenance Room of the Gungeon Proper. Once delivered, unlocks the Robot Gungeoneer.

After the High Dragun has been slain once, the Replacement Arm can be obtained from beside the Blacksmith, beginning the quest to deliver it to Ox.

Notes

• The Cultist cannot deliver bullet components to the Blacksmith.
• The Blacksmith will not give the Bullet That Can Kill The Past to the Paradox.
• Unlike Bello, the Blacksmith is not enraged by the player firing in her shop.
