Bullet Kin attacking The Marine, with one taking cover behind a flipped table.

The Cult of the Gundead are the enemies in the game Enter the Gungeon. These disciples of the gun will stop at nothing to put down the Gungeoneers in their tracks and employ any tactics necessary to defend their temple.

As a difficulty limiting system for new players, if the player has not defeated the High Dragun, and has reached the Forge less than five times, each enemy has a chance to be removed, equal to 10% subtracting by 2% each time the player has reached the Forge.

x1
x1.3
x1.3333
x1.6
x1.6666
x1.85
x2.1

Damage Cap

Similarly to the Boss DPS cap, regular enemies have a damage cap on singular projectiles. No one projectile can do more than 300 damage to an enemy, including minibosses. This isn't a DPS cap, however. Faster guns which reach this cap will have a higher DPS, and no projectiles will have their damage reduced to 0 if too much damage was dealt too quickly. This damage cap is not present in Boss Rush mode, or if the projectile does more than 1000 damage. In addition, any weapon that would typically ignore the boss DPS cap also ignores this restriction. So Yari Launcher, Glass Cannon, Makeshift Cannon, Boxing Glove's 3 star punch and High Kaliber's souls can do more than 300 damage to enemies and bosses.

Notes

  • Bullet Kin, Shotgun Kin, and other bullet-type Gundead and their variants canonically do not have arms, joints, or digits, instead manipulating everything with floating 'nub-nubs'.[2]
    • Despite this being the official stance of Dodge Rolls lead artist, many official pieces of media external to the game depict the Gundead with actual limbs.
